PRODUCED IN CANADA!

Located in London, Ontario, close to highway #401, on 7 acres of industrial land, our manufacturing plant, office, laboratories and warehouse cover 40,000 square feet, capable of producing from 1 gallon to 3000 gallon size batches. Total manufacturing tankage is over 30,000 gallons.

All raw materials are stored in our warehouse for easy access to our manufacturing facility.  Inside bulk resin storage with metering pumps
ensures accurate dispensing.

KelCoatings has recently completed the second major manufacturing and facilities upgrade in the past three years.  The objectives of each change was to:

  1. Increase our volume capacity
  2. Maintain rapid order response for our competitive advantage

The first upgrade on line in June 1996 enhanced our ability and capacity in the manufacture, storage, and computerized dispensing of bases and tint pastes.  The second continuous improvement step on line in July 1999 further increased our base manufacturing capacity by the addition of a large high speed premixer for titanium dioxide dispersion and supporting letdown tank.  Manufacturing tankage was also significantly increased to ensure fast order response time.

Our Laboratories
Three separate laboratories give us ample space for development of new products and quality control of both incoming raw materials and finished goods. All laboratories are fully equipped to enable our chemists and technicians to perform their work with accuracy and confidence.

  • Our quality control laboratory checks all finished goods against our customers' requirements and specifications prior to filling.
  • Our industrial development laboratory is designed and staffed for the development of all types of industrial baking and air dry enamels.
  • Our coil coating laboratory is used for the development and quality control of products used by our coil coating customers.

This high tech equipment allows us to accurately and quickly develop colours submitted by our customers. This program provides us with the least cost, and best matches possible under daylight, artificial, and fluorescent light sources. Our colour computers also give us the optimum pigment loading to ensure complete hiding at the specified dry film thickness. This equipment allows us quickly to match colours and quote prices, speeds up our total colour matching requirements and ensures our customers of consistent colour quality at a film thickness which gives total hiding.
